Appointment of Thomas Vasseur as ICMC Country Representative for LebanonGENEVA Feb 15,2006 - ICMC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Thomas Vasseur as the new Country Representative for ICMC's programs in Lebanon. Mr. Vasseur is replacing Jim Kelly, who after 5 years in Lebanon is returning with his family to the United States. ICMC is grateful to Jim for his years of service, and wishes him, his wife and daughter every blessing in the future. Mr. Vasseur is no stranger to ICMC or to Lebanon, having worked in a number of ICMC programs in Lebanon and in Serbia and Montenegro in recent years. With a postgraduate degree in Cooperation and Development from the Sorbonne, Thomas brings to ICMC/Lebanon 12 years of experience in international humanitarian work and program management-including work in the Middle East, Europe and Africa for UNDP, OCHA, the World Food Programme and Action Contre La Faim. This experience will be of great value as ICMC expands its programming in the Middle East region, while continuing its commitment to capacity-building and services for especially vulnerable migrants-particularly persons who have been trafficked and elderly refugees.
