UNHCR News Stories - TIMISOARA, Romania, April 17, 2009  - 59 Palestinian refugees have been evacuated to Romania from the Al Waleed desert camp in Iraq. The refugees, who are staying at the Evacuation Transit Centre in Romania while they await resettlement to a third country, are "happy to be somewhere where they had far more freedom of movement than at Al Waleed and where they could easily receive medical care."
