In response to the escalating humanitarian crisis in Pakistan, where to date an estimated 2.5 to 3 million people have been forced to leave their homes in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) of Malakand and in the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) due to intense fighting, ICMC conducted a rapid needs-assessment in the Mardan District immediately following the arrival of the first IDPs to the area.
